Area Edit
Area Edit is the precision tool: instead of restyling a whole room, you brush over the exact spot you want to change and describe what should appear there. A rug becomes jute, an accent wall turns deep green, a dated armchair becomes a reading chair, and everything outside your selection is kept from your original photo. Check the edges of the selection before you use it, since that is where the edit blends in.
The workflow is hands-on. Upload your photo, adjust the brush size, paint over the object or surface to replace, and type a short instruction for the replacement. You can refine or undo the selection before running, so the mask covers exactly what you intend, no more.
The AI matches the new content to the existing light, perspective and materials, so the edit blends in rather than looking pasted on. A lower intervention strength keeps the change conservative; a higher one gives the AI more freedom to reinterpret the area. For the cleanest results, brush slightly beyond the object's edges, keep instructions short and specific, and change one thing per run rather than stacking edits.
If an edit almost works, rerun with a slightly larger selection instead of a longer instruction. Area Edit costs 1 credit per image, so asking for 4 variants costs four times as much, and the edited image is saved next to the original so you can compare or continue editing from either version.
How it works
Upload a photo
A clear phone photo of the room, the front of your house or your yard.
Choose the change
Pick a style, a color or a material, or describe what should change.
Compare and refine
See the result next to your original in your studio and history, then refine or try another option.
What you need
- A photo of the room or exterior
- A brushed selection of the area to change
- A short description of the replacement
Ideas to try
- “Brush the rug and replace it with a neutral jute one.”
- “Change only the accent wall to a deep green.”
- “Swap the coffee table for a round wooden one, keep everything else.”
- “Replace the old armchair in the corner with a reading chair and lamp.”
Questions
How precise is the brush selection?
You control the brush size and can refine or undo the mask before running. Brushing slightly beyond the object's edges gives the cleanest blends.
Does the rest of the photo change at all?
Everything outside your selection is kept from your original photo; only the brushed area is regenerated. Check the edges of the selection, where the new content blends in, before you use it.
How many credits does an Area Edit cost?
1 credit per image; each variant is a separate image. It is better to change one thing per run than to stack several edits into a single instruction.
What kind of instructions work best?
Short, specific descriptions like 'round oak coffee table' or 'deep green matte paint' work better than long or vague ones.
